Creative Leader
Jo Thomas artist and musician, is a tutor and creative leader. She conducts engaging music and art workshops. She has experience in tutoring music composition to university and college students and also working in nursery primary and secondary schools .
With a person-centred approach, Jo provides effective support individuals with dementia. In 2024/25 she furthered her learning at Quaggly Nursery School in Lewisham in early years music practice. Jo Thomas works as a freelance artist practitioner for Harringay-based performing arts company Moving Waves.

Areas of Expertise
I am a passionate composer specialising in electronic music, with a strong background in creative and digital arts. I have a PhD in Electroacoustic Composition from City University, an MMus in Music Composition from Bangor University and a BMus from Bangor University. I have a PG Cert in Education from the University of East London.

Within my work as an artist and facilitator, I will work with groups and support individuals; my focus is on exploring sound and artwork and supporting individuals in mid to late-stage dementia care through music.
I have an enhanced DBS.
