I have been included in the Alphaville Festival this year , such a great festival lots going on ,
I am doing a workshop on Ableton and making music with software, Jennifer Cardini from Kompakt is coming along as a special guest.
Really looking forward to it . It will be great.

A practical introductory workshop for you to to learn creative ways of making, recording and mixing electronic music with Ableton Live software.
The workshop will be led by experienced electronic music composer Jo Thomas who will use examples drawn from her own practice to highlight Ableton interface, tools and terminology. Participants will explore the software by working on tracks and pre-existing loops, midi instruments and Novation Launchpad controllers. There will be also some tips for sound design, production planning and file management.
This year Alpha-ville has invited Cologne based techno/minimal DJ & producer, Jennifer Cardinni to talk about her career and personal experience in the music industry.
Requirements: - Passion for music - Some technical knowledge ideal but not necessary (Ableton or any other music software) - Bring your own laptop - Booking essential via email to pascale@alpha-ville.co.uk

Been a good week, productive and full of great sound from lots of different places .
Allon Kay from Entracte and I have decided on the format and content of my next release which will be on CD and I am delighted about this. So am looking forward to the new.

This week has been very good and next week will be equally so and the start of a role of performances and teaching in both the university and external work shops. I'll be doing a great live electronic sound workshop at the space studio's with Jennifer Cardinni from Kompact for the Alpha-ville Festival. So ladies who love sound , bring your gear and lets jam. I'll be going through my own work ,other's , ableton and different software available. We will have the opportunity to show each other's sets and play the on a system also talk about performance , share sounds , music and make something new .

My workshop at the Alpha-ville with Jennifer Cardinni from Kompact has sold out so it is time to write about Active Cross - Over and the next couple of big events that are coming up.
Active cross-over is happening on the 28th of September it is the last concert of a series of concerts in which some very special performer's have performed. I won't name as I will get in to trouble for missing people out !
Simon Wetham is the brain child of them all and they are funded by the Arts Council of England.
It is in a secret location which is in North London and you can find the Location out if you email Helen Frosti at info@soundfjord.org.uk The event has been planned for a while taken a lot of effort from a lot of people . Act's involved
Douglas Benford, Martin Clarke, John Grzinich, Kaffe Matthews, Jo Thomas & Simon Whetham.
I'm playing a solo set and a duo with Martin Clarke later on in the evening . So it should be good.
Solo set at Cafe Oto is on the 11th of October which I'm thrilled about and will be posting again about this.
