Great weekend of sound and events , The asteroid event went well and thank you to our audience . Sunday , Soundfjord 1st year anniversary
New work Crystal in progress mixed for surround sound in the Studio's of Bangor North Wales
To the Green man festival, Brecon with Diamond Light Source in mid August and my visual scores are being shown in Gale ire 8 London on the 14th of August.

Her name was noise is the original artwork from Girl an electronic music work written in the Djessasi studio's San Francisco 2005. This work was based on the second chapter of The second sex by Simone de Beauvoir.

from a very hot studio in North Wales !
Just a short post this week . I'm in the process of finishing a new work Crystal and I've really got to get on ... am working with 8 speakers, Pro tools HD, 30 tracks of sound and am just about to do my final mixes .
I'm pleased to say that i've been programmed for the Galvanized Festival in October this year in Cafe Oto London. The four artists that have been programmed have been asked to work with the themes of the planets,
So, I am working with Jupiter ... expect morpheus, delicate , reverberant and vibrant.

Thank you to Bangor University EA Music Studio's for having me in residency to write my commission Crystal for Diamond Light Source. I can safely say that I worked the Pro tools HD system and their beautiful 8 channel surround system for everything it could give me.

Active Charge

This Month a 5 min version of my work Charged is in the Active Crossover exhibition designed by Simon Whetham .
The exhibition shows nearly 51 artists who have participated in Active Crossover over the 4-5 years it has been running.
Please go along and see the exibition and catch some great sound.

The installation consists of two darkened, acoustically treated spaces that can be entered into from the main exhibition space. In one space is a surround sound composition created from field recordings made while Simon was artist-in-residence in Tallinn, Estonia, and also from Bristol, Brighton, Bracknell, Reading, Liverpool, Leeds and now London, charting the journey the project has taken so far. The second space features pieces by artists that Simon has performed and collaborated with through running the project, and through their ongoing cultural exchanges, recordings and events. If you stay in the main exhibition space you can hear the sound bleeding out and mingling from both spaces, forming a new and evolving communal work. '''

I found her image on the street and couldn't resist sharing, she to me is music ..
I met Marta yesterday and we spoke about designs for new shows , all good. It seems I have spent the whole summer writing, and most of it in studio's with no windows but now is a time to feel v good and pleased about what has been achieved.
This autumn , winter and spring I hope are going to be v exciting indeed ..
The first live performance of Crystal is starting to be organised in Diamond Light Source and we are having a live beam line feed which will be amazing to work with . Truly sophisticated in every sense. I will be transforming live the sound of light.
Active cross over performance is at the end of September , this will be very special indeed ..
