Hallo ,Been a very very busy week

I'm currently getting prepared for an ICA performance on July the 21st The performance will be part of the Pablo Bronstien exhibition and I'm very pleased to be involved and I'll be writing some more about this later on. Pablo Bronstien exhibition

On the 16th of June I will be performing in Stoke Newington at The Others with the Asteroid ensemble a group of 7 musicians with a sifi twist. We did our first performance in Cafe Oto about a month ago and have been asked to do again. So all is good and all is bold.

A great week last week , we had a smashing gig at the Others resulting in a 50 minutes of free improvisation. It was lovely to work with such great artists and the performance felt like it captured a real moment in time. At the end of the week I worked with the photographer Yev Kazannik in the Green Lens Studio on some photo's for the ICA performance on the 21st of July .A new commission was finalised and a collaboration with pop musician Andy Oppenheimer on a new song is going forward after quite a few months of planning. So exciting times.

I have just been asked to be a judge for a sound scupture competition run by Dan Night in Lewisham Arthouse on the 9th of July and soon will be getting ready to go to Oxford to work with the people at Diamond. The image above is of me performing with Asteriod last week ...

Untitled Lines ICA Performance
Published 28 June 2011 by JT

A few months ago I was asked to perform in the ICA as part of the Pablo Bronstein exhibition. I wanted to write a new work for the new space. What has resulted from the invitation is an electronic work which will be played live called Untitled Lines. The work explores moments of elegance in drifting borders of sound. As always with my works I score them before and during composition, visualising a raw physicality which then translates directly and indirectly into the finished works. The photo above is an image of my self surrounded by my own music. I find tracing paper a very beautiful media to work with because of it's sound and translucency, on this occasion I was wrapped in nearly four meters of it.

Untitled Lines is to be performed in the theatre space of the ICA at 8pm on the 21st of July.
